Hack as an Artistic Gesture

This project explores the idea of hacking as an artistic gesture by subverting everyday technological interactions.

Instead of completing a payment, a “bug” page appears on the phone, simulating a hacked system when interacting with fake contactless payment terminals via NFC. The expected transaction is replaced by a visual disruption, creating a moment of confusion between functionality and malfunction. The work reveals the invisible mechanisms of everyday technology, transforming a routine action into a moment of critical awareness and perceptual disruption.
